As the only print magazine about indie-music in India, A Humming Heart, featured vibrant stories from the scene. They published interviews, articles, essays, album reviews, comics and even short fiction.

I designed around 25 spreads for their 2023 issue. This included all typesetting and layout design. I also made several illustrations, did photo treatment work, designed 2 game pages and a drew a single-page comic. 

The editors wanted the magazine too look like a curation of distinct voices and let me take full ownership of the visual direction. So, I made sure that each spread matched the tone of that section, keeping in mind legibility, the authors' intension and some playfulness.
